DEATH ONE

Yecla Wines are shaken, DEMUERTE ONE has arrived, the most challenging Monastrell wine of all those that have been produced in the area to date.

Made by Wineryon, one of the most modern and innovative winery projects in the country. DEMUERTE ONE is presented as a new commitment to updating traditional winemaking systems. A job that is committed to patience and quality, without giving up design and new flavours.

DEMUERTE ONE: a Monastrell wine

DEMUERTE ONE is a wine made from the Monastrell grape, one of the varieties that has traditionally been grown in the Yecla area. And one of the grapes with more personality than any that currently exist. An essence that is mixed with another grape, the Cabernet Sauvignon, which completes the spectrum of flavors of this modern wine. The proportion of both is 90 percent Monastrell and 10 percent Cabernet Sauvignon.

DEMUERTE ONE: Luminous Edition

One of the features of this new presentation is its luminescent label. With the luminescent effect label, it has been possible to continue innovating in the world of wine labels. This label is made with a phosphorescent ink that is visible in the dark as it emits a shocking and striking phosphorescence, thus being able to highlight the design of the skull in the dark after being exposed to light.

The procedure used to make DEMUERTE ONE is very similar to that of other wines made by this young winery from Yecla, one of the benchmarks for modern wines in the area. A long and careful job that begins in the fields, where vines over 15 years old grow in an arid and harsh environment, offering the best of themselves despite the harsh, cold winters and extremely hot summers. And all this receiving a minimum of water so that the nutrients from the subsoil are concentrated in each grain.

After making a very careful selection of bunches, with a manual harvest and transported in small 20-kilo boxes, the DEMUERTE ONE grapes are used to obtain a high-quality must. A must that is deposited in stainless steel tanks at a temperature of 24 degrees Celsius.

This wine begins to take shape and continues its elaboration process with malolactic fermentation, to finally specify its subsequent aging in Allier French oak barrels for a minimum period of 6 months.

With all this, a wine is obtained that has come to be called DEMUERTE ONE, it is a high-grade wine, reaching 14.5 degrees of alcohol concentration. Hence, it is a wine to enjoy with every sip and why this provocative name has been chosen.

Particularities of DEMUERTE ONE

This Yecla wine is characterized by a cherry red color, with an intense and sweet aroma reminiscent of ripe red fruit, and which is completed with spicy and soft toasted nuances.

It is a wine with a medium layer, soft tannins, somewhat earthy, which behaves well in terms of acidity and acquires a certain unctuousness in its drink.

DEMUERTE ONE is, therefore, a wine to enjoy, which pairs well with red meats and complex dishes, where it is necessary to add a soft drink to cleanse the mouth of fat and remains of intense flavors.

Of course, those who make it recommend serving it at a temperature between 14 and 18 degrees Celsius to be able to enjoy it in its fullness.

The appearance of this very modern wine in terms of its flavor and aroma proposals is also reflected on the label. And it is that in this element the drawing of a Mexican skull has been reproduced, which is fluorescent in the dark. Quite a challenge for the mind and spirit that leaves no one the same. And that subsequently undergoes a long maceration for 21 days.
